Ottawa -- So far, 27 nations have defied China and established full diplomatic relations with Taiwan (When It Comes To Taiwan, The UN's Lost Its Marbles And Its Values - July 26). Canada isn't among them.
If Prime Minister Stephen Harper cannot muster the courage to support Taiwan, a nation with the rule of law, a free media, functioning judiciary, and an open, accountable and elected government, what is one to make of his much trumpeted "democracy" agenda touted in the Americas and in Afghanistan?
