Are Muslim teenagers like other Canadian teenagers?
Having ul Haq speak at the Youth Tarbiyah conference is like inviting a skin-head to be a guest speaker at a Catholic conference when the Pope is speaking. Would you really want to present both sides of the issues? When I teach my children about marijuana and other drugs, I don't suggest they speak to drug dealers as well as drug councllers. When I teach my teenagers about moral values, I don't send them to visit street gangs, pimps and murderers as well as religious leaders. Shouldn't the same apply to Muslim youths wanting to learn about Islam? Sheik ul Haq can only teach evil. His presence will be harmful to Muslim youths and the whole moderate Canadian Muslim Community. He should be banned from Canada, and those non-Canadians promoting the visit of a man intent on bringing conflict to our peaceful country should be investigated and , if appropriate, expelled from Canada.
