Re: Conserve As I Say, Not As I Do, Lorne Gunter, Feb. 26.

David Suzuki is tearing a page out of Lenin's playbook as he tours the country preaching his new environmental religion. However, Canadians are a bit more savvy than he gives us credit for. We still prefer to see all the facts and then decide the truth for ourselves.

His comments regarding the Prime Minister are another matter. Impressionable youngsters do not need his ecoproselytizations and do not deserve his frightening criticisms of our country's leader. Mr. Suzuki should pick on someone his own size, and not prey on innocent schoolchildren.

Mr. Suzuki: Get out of the schoolyard and have a conversation with adult Canadians. You know, the ones who have been shovelling snow for the past month and feeding our wood stoves throughout the night. We will happily tell you all about global warming. Or not.
