Carbon offsets remind me of "commutation fees" paid by rich men to get out of the draft during the civil war. For $300, or if you could find a substitute, you could avoid the "inconvenient truth" of the 1860s.

Bigfoot, and other "Gulfstream Liberals" will do penance with carbon offsets. The rest of us will do the heavy lifting.
