I agree 100%. That is why this press release talks about actions that will inflict pain on the ruling elite, such as freezing their stolen assets in Canadian banks and financial institutions and depriving them of the right to travel. We are also proposing the further downgrading of Iran's diplomatic presence in Canada which is primarily a spy agency reporting back to Tehran on the activities of Iranian dissidents in Canada in order to threaten their friends and family still in Iran. We are further recommending that Canada support dissidents in Iran, and publicize the plight of political prisoners.
Nothing in our press release is suggesting that ordinary Iranians are the villains nor that they deserve to be harmed for the savagery of their government. But there are real steps than can be taken to inflict pain on the ruling elite of Iran, and that is what must be done unless we wish the world to enter a phase of unprecedented danger.
