They LEFT on the urging of their arab brethren, anticipating the annihilation of the Jews. And it was not even close to 800,000. It was 800,000 JEWS who had to flee various parts of the middle east in 1948. Are they allowed to return? There have been millions upon millions of people who have been resettled when a partition took place. i.e. Pakistan/India - have there ever been any other "refugees" that demanded a "right to return". Did it ever occur to you that if all those "palestinians" did return that would be the end of the Jews right to self-determination? The beautiful free democracy that it is would transform into what we see in the "palestinian" territories. Honor killings, blowing up internet cafes, genocidal mickey mouse teaching children to love death.
Hey, by the way, C.C., what was "palestine" called before it was called "palestine"? And if you agree that Jews deserve the right to self-determination, where do you suppose would be a logical place to let the Israelites live?
