I like Ed West's perspective. For sure, he is not alone out there as most Western governments are happy to forget human rights violations when it comes to money. After all, prostitution is as old as humankind!

Yet, if we say no to the Chinese representative, let's be consistent and say no to any US representative, at least until Guantanamo is closed, human rights violations in Afghanistan and Iraq are dealt with, and executions at home stop for good!
