While I share your view of Salim Mansur Al, I do not like the title of your comment regarding Jonathon's post. It goes too far and it is in a word, wrong.
I have a feeling that Jonathon in his comment about Salim Mansur being akin to Lenin's useful idiots, got carried away with his words by focussing and questioning some detail of Salim mansur's article or he injected his own detail into the mix.
Jonathon thereby failed to recognize who and what Salim Mansur is and properly accord him the respect and regard which is Salim Mansur's due. I think with this brought to Jonathon's attention, I expect he will quickly recant his words.
There are of course some Israelis and Jews who sometimes and others who consistently find reason to criticize or question the views or motives for views of some people who are on side with them and with Israel. Whatever moves them to criticize, in so doing they see only the point they are trying to make and fail to see that the person they criticize or question is really a true friend of Israel and their point is of less importance or wrong or of no importance at all.
Such critics are in the small minority and cannot be charged as being even partly responsible for why Israel has only the few friends that it has. They can however be held to account personally for their views as you did with Jonathon.
You know that to be the case Al.
