NO TO VEILED VOTING! NO TO PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION OF PRIVATE PERSONAL RELIGIOUS
CUSTOMS! NO TO SIGNS OF RELIGIOUS FANATICISM! NO TO POLYGAMY THAT GOES
WITH VEILING! NO TO ABUSE OF OUR EUROPEAN HOSPITALITY, OUR FREEDOMS AND
RIGHTS!

Veiled voting is unacceptable in a secular European country in the 21th
century!!! Canada is not Babylonia in 10000 BC, nor is it Saudi Arabia.
In ancient Assyria,Akkadia and Babylonia a veil was a SIGN OF MARRIAGE AND
CLASS, only married women were allowed to wear a veil while harlots could
have been killed for wearing the same. In antiquity, it was a sign of
class division and not a religious custom.

Those who chose to parade their veils in a secular modern society, parade
hypocritically their hatred of our European civilization, disguised as an
expression of our multiculturalism, while they symbolically attack our
treatment of women and our family laws, rooted in the Graeco-Roman legal
code , and not in the Judeo-Christian doctrine.

We also need a public referendum on separation of Church and State: no
state funding for all religious schools; one secular curriculum for all
Canadians of all colors, shapes, cultural roots and superstitions. It is
time to stand up for Canada, a civilized modern society where there should
no room to FANATICISM AND CULTURAL ATAVISMS OF ALL KINDS.

Respectfully,
Prof. Anna Makolkin,
