The problem is this PK. First, no where in the Act does it say that full face identification is required to vote. Second, there are three approved ways of voting, which I linked to here somewhere. The first is to identify yourself with photo ID. If a voter does not have photo ID, the second requires two pieces of other ID, one of which must contain the address of the voter.

My conclusion is this: the PM is wrong when he says that facial identification is necessary to vote; it isn't. The rules applied by Elections Canada to women in burqa's apply to every voter. As I said here somewhere, under the current legislation we could all vote with paper bags over our heads. It's rediculous.

Elections Canada have really obscured this entire issue. Their press release was suspiciously missing a few very important facts.
