Concrete Canadian action needed to end military dictatorship in Burma posted by CCD Media Release
I certainly agree if the evidence is overwhelming that the Burmese people are being denied freedoms and that the people are being threatened, coerced and or murdered by the leadership, then the Canadian government needs to take a tough stand against the current regime in that country.
However, I wonder why equally firm outrage is not consistently expressed toward communist
China who treats their citizens in the same manner much of the time, and has killed their citizens to achieve government agendas.
How strong of an outcry was there from the world and the media over the alleged murder of innocent Iraqi citizens by the Blackwater security group backed, and empowered by the current U.S. government and those that prop the Bush regime up?
If we are going to be proponents of equal rights, justice, and freedom. As we should be. Lets at least by consistent and balanced.
