You can see the expanding intrusion of govt. in private affairs, such
as religion, because of the privileged status of some religious beliefs.
Instead of more intrusion of the govt., the long term policy should
be to eliminate state support of religious schools. This would be
consistent with separation of church and state.
Catholics and Protestants should voluntarily give up their special
status.
