Sadat may have negotiated a peace treaty with Israel, but Egypt has never normalized relations with the Jewish state. Egyptians do not visit Israel, and Egypt has become a cesspool of Jew-hatred, the biggest purveyor of Judenhass in the world. Since the Sadat-Begin deal, Egypt--and indeed, all the Arabs (along with Persians and other Muslims) have waged war on Israel by other means--through a concerted and very successful propoganda campaign which has smeared Israel as a Nazi, apartheid state. There can never be "peace" in the region--at least, not in the Western sense of word--because that would entail accepting the reality of Jewish sovereignty, something that, quite simply, is un-Islamic. Therefore the only "peace" that is possible is the "peace" that will be in place once the Jews have submitted to Islamic primacy, or have been wiped out trying to counter it.
