Thank you for having the courage to speak up.
Every rational person knows that the vast majority of Muslims came to this country to escape from brutal theocracy and street rule by religious thugs.
Politicians are a different breed of animal, however. They hear what they think will help them win the next election.
In a democracy, it is your responsibility and that of every other individual to speak up and speak out. Get every Muslim you know to tell politicians how much you don't want these traditions in this country.
If enough speak up, you will see more rational discourse on this issue. Good luck.
