I wish Mark Elliot could have spoken to my father. He was a private in the British 8th Army in World War 2, and spent a considerable amount of time in Palestine and Syria. He would occasionally talk about his experiences with his "Palestinian chums" who, to a person, were Jews, not Arabs.
Further, we often see those who demonize Jews as the killers of Christ (I thought it was the Romans, myself) also declare that the Jews have no historic claim to the land of Israel. Well, thousands of years of continuous occupancy represent a pretty strong claim, and if the Jews really were the killers of Christ, how could they have done it if they weren't even in the neighborhood?
But logic and consistency don't count for much among the Jew-haters and Israel-haters of the world.
