Well then why not share the land? A Jewish state for Jews on half and another Arab state on the other half. This was the intention of the partition. To give the indigenous and diaspora Jews a homeland on a small part of the land that some of them had continually occupied for thousands of years and to provide a state for the indigenous Arabs who were also living there at the time. Israel accepted this arrangement. The Arabs didn't. The state of Palestine doesn't exist because they have never accepted the partition. They have never accepted the Jewish state.
It's too late to be debating whether the partition was wise. It can't be undone. Not unless you want to destroy Israel and the idea of a home for the Jews. If it's OK for the Arabs/Muslims to have Islamic states, why is it not OK for the Jews to have a Jewish state?
