It doesn't matter what people were called, it matters that they were there.
By your argument, Rena, Jews have *no* claim to Palestine because we were called Hebrews in Biblical times and weren't called Jews until a few thousand years later (and hey "Israelis" didn't exist until 1948)
Like it or not the Palestinians can trace their ancestry in Palestine back through millenia.
Indeed, and you really aren't going to like this part, according to hemotological studies Jews (Ashkenazi and Shefardic) and Palestinians are more closely related to each other than they are to any other group. IE Palestinians, by blood, are closer to Jews than to other Arabs.
In truth, the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is a civil war between closely related peoples.
