Interesting that you call the people "armed thugs firing rifles in the street".
Actually, they are palestinian gunmen basically having a gun battle with Israeli troops who are invading Palestinian cities and towns.
Palestinian men take up arms to defend themselves whenever Israeli troops make an incursion , there are so many documentaries showing this. (BBC, Time, Canwest)
So I guess civilian combatants fighting a qualified army (IDF) are terrorists? Give me a break. People who blow up buses are terrorists, not those who fight legitimate army targets.
So what if these armed palestinian civilians went into the U.N. ambulance? There is a massive explosion from an Israeli missle attack/tank shell down the street, and you expect them to prance around in the streets to be targeted, and not take cover?
There is no "palestinian army" so its these civilians from neighbourhoods who take up arms whenever Israeli troops make an incursion.
Try not to put a spin on the facts.
