As the death toll continues to rise in the
attacks on the resorts in Sinai, the reaction on
the Arabic language forums has been swift and
predicably very much anti-Israeli.
The Egyptian police speak of another
explosion in the area of Nuweiba between Taba
and Sharm Al-Sheikh, and Cairo says that 23
Israelis were killed in the first explosion at
the Hilton Hotel in Taba.

A strong explosion shook a hotel where
Israeli tourists stay in the city of Taba,
located on the Egyptian side of the borders with
Israel. The initial reports report that there
are large numbers of victims due to the
explosion, but the cause is not know even though
initial reports were that it came from a gas
leak.
The number of dead and injured rose in the
explosion and according to sources in the
hospital at Taba. Al Jazeera reports that 29
Zionists are dead and more than 100 injured.
It is clear; may Allah grant us victory, and
that it be delivered so that the eyes of Allah’s
enemies shed tears and taste what they have fed
to our sons in Palestine. It is worth noting
that Night Journey 62 claims to be female.
Meanwhile, on the Ansar forum, the response is
uniform. One poster after another is posting
messages praising Allah, saying “Allah Akbar”.
On the Islah forum, one poster claims that the
explosion in Taba was intense enough to be felt
(or heard) in Saudi Arabia. A poster known as
Non-Arab Full Moon says Oh Allah make
this day a curse for the sons of Zion and their
followers.
An explosion occurred at the Hilton Hotel in
the Egyptian town of Taba in the Sinai Desert on
Thursday evening, close to the border with
Israel.
Hamas has taken credit for the attack. In
addition, a previously unknown Islamist group
has also taken credit, promising more attacks
during the month of Ramadan, which starts in
mid-August.
Reports from the scene indicate that the
blast was apparantly caused by a car bomb. The
western wing of the hotel has collapsed.
There were reports of casualties in the
blast, which took place in the lobby of the
hotel at around 10 P.M., causing the ceiling of
the lobby to collaspse.
A fire then broke out at the hotel, and hotel
guests on the upper floors were evacuated via
the emergency exits.
It is unclear what caused the explosion. Some
reports suggested that the blast could have been
caused by a gas cylinder. Israeli security
sources said there is growing conviction that
the explosion was caused by a terrorist attack.
The Qatar-based satellite channel Al-Jazeera
said that most of those wounded in the blast
were Israelis.
An Israeli witness at the Hilton said that
the hotel was on fire, and that dozens of bodies
were lying on the floor.
"I heard a huge explosion. The wall near me
collapsed and people began to run. There were
many casualties... The explosion was outside.
When we went out we saw the shops and the
internal wall of the hotel had collapsed," the
witness, called Yigal, told Army Radio.
"Some people it was a gas canister explosion
and others said it was a terrorist attack. There
are a lot of people [lying on the ground]. There
is a lot of blood, a lot of screaming," he
added.
"The whole front of the hotel has collapsed,"
he said. "I am standing outside of the hotel,
the whole thing is burning and they have nothing
to put it out with. There is nothing here."
Within 45 minutes of the blast, seven of the
wounded had been taken to Yoseftal Hospital in
Eilat, Channel 10 television said. Five of the
wounded were in light condition and two had
sustained moderate injuries.
In the wake of the explosion, Israel amassed
a large number of rescue personnel on the
Egyptian border, and Israel Air Force planes
were scrambled.
Egypt closed the border with Israel,
preventing Israeli rescue personnel from
crossing, but re-opened it a short time later,
allowing Israeli rescue workers to cross.
Israeli medics said they had been informed of
"a large number of casualties."
The blast could be heard strongly about two
kilometers from the hotel, said Selma Abu
el-Dahab, who works at another Taba hotel. She
said a worker from her hotel returned from the
Hilton and told of the explosion before
collapsing.
Many Israelis have visited Egypt over the
past month, during the period of Jewish
holidays. Last month, the defense establishment
cautioned Israelis against traveling to Sinai,
following warnings of a potential terrorist
attack.
Over the years, we've watched music videos
evolve. And although there have certainly been
music videos that show violence before, I don't
think I've seen one that is quite as chilling as
the new video out by Prince.
In the video, a young Arab American girl
blows herself up in a crowded airport terminal,
in what appears to be the US.
The video begins in what appears to be a
schoolyard, with a group of teenagers. The girls
react in horror, looking to the sky as they
apparantly witness the 9/11 attacks.
When the girls realize who is responsible for
the attacks, the backlash begins and she flees
for home.
But when she arrives home, she finds a window
with the words "terrorist scum" scrawled on it,
and her parents covering the Arabic script on
their business.
The girl changes into traditional Arab
clothes, with hijab, and then appears to make a
decision. She dresses in western clothing, takes
her American passport, and goes to a crowded
airport terminal.
The clip shows her pressing a button, then an
explosion ensures.
A special advisory has been released to
schools and law enforcement, advising them of
ways in which they can increase their safety
level in the wake of the Beslan massacre. The
advisory also provides a checklist schools can
use to determine if they are at increased risk.
The bulletin advises schools to take the
following protective measures:
Unexplained presence of unauthorized persons
in places where they should not be.
Law enforcement agencies, security personnel,
and educational administrators should be aware
and remain alert to indicators of surveillance
activities. School officials are encouraged to
review and update their evacuation plans as well
as security and emergency policies. In addition
to planning and the need for frequent exercises
involving both the schools and the First
Responder Community (Law Enforcement and
Fire/EMS), planning and exercises should involve
the local medical community to ensure that mass
casualty contingencies are fully covered.
Emergency medical treatment for children is
significantly different from adults and should
be factored into any plan or exercise.
Afghan Vice Presidential Candidate
Survives Assassination Attempt
To the family of Ahmad Zia Masood, it
must have seemed like deva vu. Three years ago,
on September 10, 2001, Osama Bin Laden's
followers, posing as journalists, assassinated
the leader of the Afghan Northern Alliance,
Ahmed Shah Masood.
A day later, Bin Laden's terrorists attacked
the US, sending planes into the twin towers of
the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon.
Now, just over three years later, his
younger brother, Ahmad Zia Masood, survived an
assassination attempt today in Afghanistan.
Ahmad Zia Masood was chosen as the vice
presidential running mate of Afghan President
Hamed Karzai.
An increase in violence in Afghanistan is
expected as the date of the Afghan elections
approaches.
New York Mosque Leader Convicted In Visa
Fraud Scheme
ICE Uncovers Elaborate Scheme To Exploit
Religious Worker Visas
The ringleader of a massive
visa fraud scheme operating out of a mosque he
established in a Brooklyn basement was convicted
by a New York court on September 23— the result
of a three-year investigation led by ICE.
Muhammad Khalil was convicted on charges of
conspiring to submit hundreds of false
applications on behalf of illegal aliens from
the Middle East, exploiting a program that
provides specialized visas for foreign workers
with religious training to work with religious
organizations in the United States.
Khalil was the Imam—an Islamic religious
teacher— and director of the Dar Ehya Essunnah
mosque, which was located in the basement of a
variety and greeting card store he owned in
Brooklyn.
Since 1993, Khalil sponsored over 200
fraudulent applications for individuals seeking
religious work visas to enter the United States,
charging cash fees ranging from $5,000 to
$8,000. Prosecutors claimed that he had netted
more than $600,000 from the scheme.
Prosecutors alleged also that Khalil is an
admirer of Osama bin Laden and his jihadist
philosophy. While Khalil has not been linked to
specific terrorist activities, prosecutors
pointed to a taped conversation in which Khalil
reportedly praised bin Laden and called for
Muslims to “arm themselves” for “another
attack.”
“None of these aliens were religious
scholars, but instead were simply seeking entry
into the United States under false pretenses,”
said Martin Ficke, ICE Special Agent-in- Charge
for New York.
“Today, Khalil’s international smuggling
pipeline has been shut down and a potentially
serious vulnerability to our homeland has been
closed.”
In addition, Khalil issued bogus paychecks to
the applicants and requiring them to return the
money to him in cash. He then filed tax returns
for the mosque and required the applicants to
file personal tax returns stating that they were
employed as religious workers at the mosque.
This allowed him to portray the mosque as a
large-scale entity with a growing congregation.
He was also convicted of making false
statements to ICE agents investigating the
matter and conspiring to obtain false Social
Security cards.
Khalil’s mosque shut down shortly after his
arrest in February 2003. Charges are pending
against his son, Asim Khalil, for his alleged
role in the scheme.
Muhammad Khalil was convicted September 23
for his role in a visa fraud scheme in New York.

turned out that he is the principal of that
mosque and school…So why did he lie to me
initially?”

Driving past the building situate [sic] on
Best street, the large building is walled off
and above the walls are barbed wire fence making
it virtually inaccessible. It would be
impossible to know from the street what might be
going on inside.

monstrosity of a building. This is where their
people start. For those who are inclined to
think this is all far- fetched, let me tell you

because-- ah, if children are playing they are
taking any game of children as uh, training, I
don’t know ah, the only thing I can say I don’t
know how come, um, responsible people will give
such an irresponsible statement.”
Q: Are you saying that the children are
not scaling walls?
Imam Memon: “I don’t what they have seen -
if they have someone climb-some children playing
or something I don’t what they have seen
really.”
Summary of Observations
Although activity has been documented at
various times over the past six months,
investigators were ultimately presented with the
opportunity to secure limited digital still
images and brief videotape clips on Saturday, 25
September 2004 of activity that could be
described as “unusual.” Between 1500 and 1600
hours ET on this date, it noted that several
adult males – all appearing to be Black or of
Middle Eastern origin, were instructing at least
two groups of young males. The males appeared to
be between 10-18 years-old and upon closer
inspection, appeared to be separated into two
groups. All appeared to be attired in normal
“street clothes,” although some of the older
males were wearing various types of hats or head
coverings.
The larger group of young males of
approximately 15-20 appeared to be engaged in an
adult-supervised game of roller-blade hockey.
This activity was taking place in the area most
easily visible from the street as one would be
able to look through the chain-link fence. In
other words, should someone be walking past the
fence, that person would see a group of young
men playing hockey.
What is most interesting, however, is that a
second group of six-(6) young males were in a
more remote and less visible area of the
compound, although still visible from a publicly
accessible vantage position. Direct observation
of this group found two older males – one
standing on the ground near the side of one of
the interior buildings, and the other standing
on the roof of the same structure – appearing to
“instruct” the group of six young men on how to
scale or climb the wall of the building.

ICE FPS vehicle scanning system passes
real-life test
ICE’s Federal Protective Service (FPS)
demonstrated recently the effectiveness of the
X-ray system used to scan vehicles for potential
threats and the officers who use it.
An 18-wheel tractor-trailer truck going
through routine X-ray scanning by FPS at the
entrance to the Southeast Federal Center in
Washington, D.C., showed an image that appeared
to be a missile packed in the trailer.
FPS officers questioned the driver of the rig
after the object was discovered, but the driver
said he didn't know what he was carrying. The
truck’s manifest called for deliveries to the
Department of Energy and the U.S. Secret Service
(USSS), but wasn’t specific on the contents of
those deliveries.
Alerted by the X-ray image, FPS officers
notified the Federal Bureau of Investigations,
USSS, and the Washington, D.C. Police
Department’s Explosive Ordinance Division.
Further investigation eventually revealed
that the device was in fact a missile, but an
inert training missile for the Department of
Energy.
“The X-ray system worked, and while this was
a false alarm it showed that this system and our
people can help protect facilities from real
threats,” said Dennis O’Connor, FPS spokesman.

Iraqi, or father of Maysara the Iraqi, and he's

world."
It generated an immediate response on the
Ansar message board, where Abu Maysara usually
posts his messages to the world.
Abu Maysara in the Washington Post is
the title of the message posted by someone
calling himself the "Slaughtered Citizen".
Abu Maysara first registered on the Ansar
board on January 5, 2004. He first posted to
that board earlier this summer on July 11, 2004.
According to the statistics kept by Ansar,
Abu Maysara has posted 85 times.

The changing face of terrorism

Let’s go back to 2001 after the attacks here
country. Remember when they would release a tape
of Usama Bin Laden on the news only after the
CIA and FBI had scrutinized the tape for any
secret messages that it may have contained?
Now, all we wait for from the authorities is
word on whether the tape is authentic or not
since the terrorists no longer attempt to code
anything, they just come right out and tell
their murderous cronies what to do and where to
do it.
We went from one taped beheading in a year to
several taped and televised beheadings each
month. The first kidnappings were a shocker, now
they are an almost weekly occurrence.
We used to only hear limited reports on
terrorism acts around the world, now we almost
always see home made video footage of these
acts. It is as though the video camera has
become as important as the explosives on their
checklist when they are performing one of their
murderous acts.
This has been a carefully planned and
executed terrorism campaign against the free
world. These are not stupid people by any means
and they are steadily growing stronger with
their propaganda machine as viewing the acts
themselves qualifies as terrorism, since the
film itself creates fear and anxiety to
civilized people and perpetuates momentum for
the terrorists in recruiting members for future
acts of murder and mayhem.
Maybe now it’s a selling point in recruiting
up and coming jihad suicide bombers, that in
addition to going to paradise for your actions,
getting your own horde of virgins (probably aged
nine and under, that you can kill afterwards as
was done in the Russian School Massacre) and get
to talk to Allah about interceding for some of
your likewise sinful relatives, but you too can
now be a television star. But, sorry we can’t
really offer you a series contract though since
you will be only appearing once.
The real question I would pose to the
murderous bastards in Al Qaeda is “If you are
so proud of what you do and it is in the name of
Allah, why do you wear masks?”

from Northeast Intelligence Network analyst Skip
Callahan with the subject line: anyone read
French? Skip included a link to this website
http://ribaat.org . Intrigued I clicked on the
url and found an Islamist website in French. I
wasn't browsing on the site for five whole
minutes when I'd found the equivalent of a
radical Islamic FAQ. I pulled up my on-line
French translator and began reading the
translation. I found myself reading a question
posed to one very knowledgeable in the teaching
of the Quran which stated:
"A preacher in a European mosque has declared
that Muslims are not allowed to regard the Jews
and the Christians as non-believers. You know
that the major part of those attending the
Mosques in Europe have little knowledge of
Islam. We fear such declarations will be spread.
Consequently we ask for your clarification on
this issue with a clear and complete answer to
this question."
The response is very long and detailed with
quotes from the Quran supporting this position
of the responding Imam. In a nutshell his
response is this:
"The man who said this induced an error in
his audience. In fact, one can regard this
preaching as a blasphemy. Allah declared that
the Jews and the Christians are kuffar in His
Book."
So, now we know that the "true Islam"
emanating from the Middle East is correcting the
Islam as taught to the congregations in the
mosques of Europe, Jew and Christians are
infidels because Allah declares so in the
Quran!!!
The point for all American's is this: Are the
Imams in American Mosques teaching the "true
Islam" and telling American Muslims that the
Christians and Jews in America are Kuffar
(Infidels). The answer is -- if American Imam's
are being "true to Islam", YES, THEY MOST
CERTAINLY ARE!!!.
And what are the Muslims to do with Kuffar?
Wage Jihad on them and kill them wherever you
find them. Is this not the fatwa issued to all
the Muslims in the world in 1998?
Yes, it is!!!

This fatwa then issued a final warning to all
Muslim's on the cost of failing to carry out
this fatwa:
"Unless you go forth, He (Allah) will punish
you with a grievous penalty, and put others in
your place."
We worry and expound in the media of this
country about jihadists coming across our
borders from Mexico and Canada. Ha! My fellow
American's they're already here, they've been
here all along. There're your neighbors, you see
them everyday in your daily life. They are
radical Muslims living the "American dream" just
like you and me are. They are behaving just like
Mohammed Atta and his 18 cohorts were in the
year prior to September 11, 2001. They are
attending your local mosque. I wrote an article
earlier this year about this very subject
entitled "Knowing the Enemy and Knowing
Ourselves". Here is what I wrote then with some
additional edited-in material:
"Many in the west, particularly those on the
western political left, DO NOT have a basic
understanding that the enemy is not only at the
gate but is already within the house, and he/she
is focused and completely intent on killing you
and your families.
This is true in America because it is
politically expedient for them at the present
time to hold such political views. Such a

Radical Islam is being taught in Mosques
right here at home in America, in your town or
nearby, that all Christians and Jews are kuffar,
we are infidels, and all "true Muslims" kill

version of "Beslan"?

That line is from to a chilling posting that
appeared this week on several Arabic language
message boards.
The posting goes to say that the child
befriended an American soldier, then pulled the
pin from the grenade on his belt, killing both.

Video footage released on the internet by a
group calling itself the "Armies of Ansar al
Sunnah" shows an Iraqi national confessing to
collaborating with the American forces, and then
being beheaded.
The man, identified on the video as Nafi'a
Daoud Ibrahim, shows Ibrahim wearing an access
badge (shown above) and making a statement to
the camera.
Ibrahim states to the camera: "I have set up
three telecommunications networks for the Iraqi
National Guard. I have been working in Taji
since June 2004."
Unlike the victims in many of the other
videos, Ibrahim is beheaded in street clothes,
not an orange jumpsuit. It also appears that the
beheading occured outdoors.

Al Qaeda #2 man Releases New
Audiotape Broadcast by Al Jazeera

1 October 2004: Al-Jazeera
television broadcast a new message recorded by
Al Qaeda number-two man Ayman al-Zawahiri,
calling on all young Muslims to resist the
“crusader campaign” and threatening the
interests and assets of the US, Great Britain,
and France. Focused specifically on the
countries within the US-led coalition in Iraq,
Zawahiri stated: “We must start the resistance
from now ... against the Crusader campaign ...
like resistance in Iraq, Afghanistan, in
Palestine and in Chechnya. Young Muslims, here
is our message ... if we are killed or taken
prisoner, continue the path (of resistance)
after us. Don’t betray God and his Prophet. It’s
the era of Muslim resistance, after the (Arab)
governments submitted to the Zionist occupant.
We should learn the lesson of Chechnya,
Afghanistan, of Iraq, of Palestine.”
Zawahiri is noted to be the right-hand man of
Osama bin Laden. Last heard in a videotape
broadcast by Al Jazeera on September 9, 2004, it
is speculated among analysts that the taped
messages are specifically timed to precede an
attack or series of attacks, might carry
instructional commands or by themselves, signal
instructions for an attack or series of attacks
to terrorists.
When these taped messages are analyzed by
themselves or without consideration of other
events, they can certainly be readily dismissed
as pure rhetoric at best. When analyzed in the
context of current world events, however, it
could be contended that these messages and the
events that follow adhere to a pattern. This was
especially true with the now conspicuously
absent Osama bin Laden, where a pattern of
terrorist activity following the release of his
taped messages commonly preceded attacks on high
profile targets. There are obvious breaks in the
pattern that could be consistent with
intervention and interdiction by US military,
law enforcement and the authorities and military
of other countries.
In consideration of the recent call for the
assination of high-profile targets, the
kidnappings and subsequent beheadings in Iraq,
the attacks on our troops in Iraq and
Afghanistan, such messages could be indicative
of heightened terrorist activity to take place
anytime from from the release of the tape
throughout the next 10-14 days.
As reports filter in that the life of
British hostage Kenneth Bigley might be spared
after he was shown begging for his life and
condemning the US & UK coalition, Islamic
jihadists are calling for his head. The majority
of posters to the Islamic message boards favor
beheading the 62 year-old Brit who was kidnapped
on 16 September 2004, along with two US workers.
British hostage Kenneth Bigley appeared in a
newly released videotape aired by Al-Jazeera
Television stating that his captors “do not want
to kill him” and referred to British Prime
Minister Tony Blair as a “liar.” Bigley, shown
in a wire cage with a chain around his neck
appeared exhausted although no evidence of
physical injuries were readily apparent. A
previous video showed the 62 year-old hostage
begging for his life (see related item below) at
the hands of his captors, Zarqawi’s Al Tawhid
and Jihad terror group in Iraq.
Obviously fearing for his life and most
likely suffering from “Stockholm
Syndrome,” Bigley stated that he disagreed
with the US and British foreign policy. At issue
is the terror groups obvious political savvy in
their attempts to exploit every opportunity in
order to drive a wedge
into the US led coalition. Additional

Potential Terrorist Exploitation of
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning
(HVAC) Systems

A joint DHS and FBI Information Bulletin
dated 23 September 2004 (Reference FBI
Intelligence Bulletin No. 149) states that
“terrorists may consider exploiting commercial
air handling systems for dispersing chemical,
biological, or other air contaminants.”
Federal officials warn of the possibility
that terrorists could place chemical or
biological contaminants near the external air
intake systems (or the internal air-circulation
systems) of commercial and public buildings
including office buildings, shopping centers,
transit systems, and airports.
Other scenarios involve the use of
helicopters equipped with agricultural spraying
equipment to discharge large chemical or
biological contaminant clouds near external or
roof-mounted air intakes or ventilators.
The above scenarios are consistent with
diagrams, drawings, images and text found on
Islamic terrorists websites over the last few
weeks by analysts of the Northeast Intelligence
Network.
Other potential terrorist activities include
an approach to locally introduce natural gas and
other unidentified gases directly into the HVAC
equipment by plumbing or via a direct spill.
Typical contaminants include toxic gasses such
as hydrogen cyanide or chlorine gas, or
aerosolized toxins or bacteria such as anthrax
or Ricin. Additional details will be included in

The two video clips are notably short, shaky,
and were obviously taken during a brief window
of opportunity. The terrorists had selected
their target and began covert surveillance
operations, making note of the subject’s routine
and movements. Visual acquisition of the
intended target was long in place well before
the unsuspecting victim knew his fate. Both
short segments, found on an Islamic jihad site
clearly represent the implementation of
instructions contained in the al Battar training
manuals, a virtual reference library for
terrorists.
Mr. Johnson can be seen walking to his
vehicle as he prepares to enter, then the
interior of the vehicle becomes visible as the
camera is pulled down by one of the kidnappers
to avoid detection. The process was repeated as
the subject was followed, his route noted, and
his destination identified. Obviously, the
terrorists who kidnapped Paul Johnson did their
homework as effectively taught by the terrorist
training manuals.
It was in may of this year when the Northeast
Intelligence Network and the HQ INTEL-ALERT warned
the public and corporate officials about the
kidnapping plans contained in the al Battar
series. Mr. Johnson was not the first kidnapping
victim nor will he be the last. As we have
stated before, al Qaeda and related terrorist
organizations have published their playbook on
the Internet – but is there anyone reading it?

29 September 2004 --US Being “Prepared” for
Dirty Bomb Event: US Health & Safety
officials are preparing to publish guidelines
for the general public on how to react in the
event a radiological bomb – otherwise referred
to as a “dirty bomb” is set off by terrorists on
US soil. One federal source interviewed the
Northeast Intelligence Network and HQ
INTEL-ALERT who is contributing to the
publication confirmed that a booklet will be
made available shortly. First responders are
being educated in decontamination procedures as
well. Several related government agencies are
involved in the publication of these guidelines.

On March 19, 2003 Armed Forces from the
United States and Britain under American command
began their invasion of Iraq with the assistance

Ba’athist party headed by Saddam Hussien was
toppled as the world watched the war on their
television screens. The United States after
several pleas to the deaf ears of The United
Nations acted in a manner of self preservation

Jihadi video shows IED being prepared, used
against US tank
The vehicle which is the target is an M1A2
Main Battle Tank. The neighborhood is probably
easy to identify and thus the building and room
the video was shot from.
The weapon is a low-tech IED which appears to
be fashioned from an old free-fall or gravity
bomb with the stabilizer fins removed. The shell
is stuffed with as much High Explosive as it can
hold and then the tail end is the cemented to
seal the weapon. The detonation cords are
plainly visible.

Zarqawi video shows gasoline tanker with
jihadi preparing for martyrdom
mission
A convoy of trucks drives by on the highway.
The frames shift and one of the trucks is shown
in flames, hit by a rocket propelled grenade
launcher shot from a terrorist-manned car in
pursuit of the convoy. That’s what appears in
the chilling footage in the first of a trio of
videos released Monday by an Iraqi terror group
closely aligned with Al Qaeda.
The videos, branded with the animated logo of
Abu Mus’ab Zarqawi’s Tawheed wa Jihad terror
group, show the two Turkish drivers of the truck
making a statement in front of the camera. The
final frames show one of the truck drivers tied
up and blindfolded in front of a group of
terrorists, and then show his brutal beheading.
The second video shows a group of men
delivery martyrdom statements as they prepare
for their operations. In a particularly chilling
scene, the camera pans around what appears to be
a white, gasoline tanker, and then the driver
poses behind the wheel, smiling.
According to the website, the second and
third videos show the terrorists involved in the
attacks in Karbala.
The footage of the gasoline tanker is
especially relevant to US residents given the
recent terror alerts put out by the Department
of Homeland Security and the FBI, concerning
vehicle born improvised explosive devices and
stolen gasoline tankers.
